Gurumelos excavation

On friday the 25th we visited the Gurumelos excavations in Mérida. An archeologist told us about the ancient Mérida (Emerita Augusta).
In Emerita Augusta there was a roman wall and a roman road. We saw the roman road and a broken parts of roman columns.
The archeological team told us about their job; first they inspect the zone, then they make a note and take a photography to each piece. To finish, they fill again the ruins with special sand. When we finished the visit, we went to the Spain square to buy snacks and sweets.
